Ibiza Airport to San Antonio: a short enough hop to keep it simple

San Antonio (Sant Antoni de Portmany) is on the opposite side of the island from the airport, but Ibiza isn't a big island — it's about 15 km, and the drive takes 20 to 25 minutes on a normal day.

There's a direct bus straight from the terminal to San Antonio, and because the distance is short, it's a genuinely decent option even with luggage. It runs regularly through the day in season, less often outside it, so it's worth checking the times for your flight rather than assuming one's about to leave.

Taxis are the obvious alternative and, given how short the run is, they're not the budget-wrecker they can be on longer Balearic transfers. Expect a short wait at the rank in peak weeks when several flights land close together, especially late at night when Ibiza's arrivals board fills up fast.

Because the journey is short, the price gap between a taxi, a shared shuttle and a private transfer tends to be smaller here than on almost any other route on this list — which makes the decision more about convenience than cost. A pre-booked transfer mainly buys you certainty: someone's there with your name on a board, no queue, no meter running while you load bags.

Rule of thumb: for a short hop like this, go with whatever's easiest for your group rather than chasing a few euros of savings — bus if you're relaxed and travelling light, taxi or transfer if you land late or just want one less thing to think about after a flight.
