Palma Airport to Magaluf: a short run that still gets busy

Magaluf is on the western side of the bay from Palma, about 22km from the airport, and the drive is usually 25 to 30 minutes on the Ma-1. It's a similar distance to San Antonio from Ibiza Airport — short enough that most options are reasonable.

There's a direct bus from the terminal that covers the route well, running regularly through the day in season. For a trip this short, it holds up fine even with a case or two, which isn't always true of bus routes on this site.

The wrinkle with Magaluf specifically is timing rather than distance — it attracts a lot of younger groups on flights that land late at night or in the early hours, when bus frequency drops off and the airport taxi queue can be at its longest.

Taxis are easy to find and, over a run this short, reasonably priced, but if your flight lands at 1am with six people and a mountain of luggage between you, the rank isn't always moving fast.

Rule of thumb: landing at a sensible hour with light bags, the bus is honestly fine. Landing late or travelling as a big group, a pre-booked transfer or shared shuttle means someone's waiting for you by name instead of you waiting for a taxi.
